Canadian women were golden today at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

Both Canada's curling and hockey team won gold: Jennifer Jones' rink stole a pivotal two points in the ninth end and went on to defeat Sweden 9-6.

Their gold is Canadian curling women's first since Sandra Schmirler's team won in Nagano in 1998. It was also the first time in Olympic history that any women's team went undefeated the entire tournament.

Later, Canada's hockey team came from behind a 2-0 deficit, tying the game with 55 seconds left and taking their arch rivals, the United States, to overtime.

Marie-Philip Poulin scored a winning powerplay goal in OT, giving Canada its fourth straight gold in women's hockey.

Canada now has 20 medals: 7 gold, 9 silver, and 4 bronze.

Tomorrow Canada's men's curling team plays Great Britain in the gold medal game, and the men's hockey team faces the United States in the semi-finals.
