The North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) wrapped up in Regina after a week of competition.

Team British Columbia finished first with 160 medals while Team Saskatchewan came in a close second with 159 (and the most gold medals with 72). Team Ontario was third with 149 medals.

The next closest team was Eastern Door and the North with 58. For the complete medal standings, visit NAIG's website. 

These games were not without their controversy following a decision by the NAIG council to count medals from the swimming events, which were non-sanctioned. Unhappy with the situation, Team Saskatchewan filed an official protest. 

The seven days of competition were capped off with Closing Ceremonies at the First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv), which had also hosted the Kirby Littletent Cultural Village during the week.

A Tribe Called Red headlined the Closing Ceremonies, which also featured an appearance by Adam Beach.
