The Board of Directors of Gordon Tootoosis Nīkānīwin Theatre is pleased to announce the appointment of Saskatoon's Osemis Isbister-Bear as the General Manager of the Company effective since Oct 26, 2015.

Osemis is an aspiring leader in Aboriginal Community Development. He attributes his strong desire towards community development to his northern Cree upbringing. Raised in Sandy Bay Saskatchewan, Osemis is a proud member of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation. He is also a very proud alumni of the first Circle of Voices program.

Throughout his career, Osemis has continued to work towards the advancement of Indigenous people, using his business skill sets, in supporting a number of projects aimed at enhancing the Indigenous profile in Saskatoon. On the community front, and throughout his graduate studies at the university, he avidly volunteered with the Saskatoon Aboriginal Professional’s Association serving as the organization’s lead on strategic community outreach and events planning. Osemis’ passion for community is truly inspiring.
