Rochelle DeBray, 25, Server

Did you vote in the last federal election?

I did vote in the last election. I had learned so much from high school and I truly felt that I could make a change and that it was time for a change. I was 18 at the time too, so the power to vote and to have my "vote count" to me was empowering.

Will you be voting in this election?

I will be voting. It's important to me.

What is the most important issue to you this election?

As of right now, everything that's happening in the world it's most important to know that the future leader is going to protect our country and keep us safe. Everything that's happening is over whelming. I want to be able to trust the people In power and to know that my vote might actually help bring change and security.

Why is it important for Indigenous people to vote?

Wether it was allowed 50 some years for aboriginal ppl to vote or not. It's so critical now. We finally have a voice and a "say" in what is happening. Let's use it! Let's bring change. This is our time.
