John Arcand Fiddle Fest winding down

  • John Lagimodiere | December 21, 2021

After 25 years of teaching and celebrating the fiddle, the board of directors of the John Arcand Fiddle Fest have made the difficult decision to wind down the organization and stop with the annual Fiddle Fest. The board intends to establish a scholarship fund with remaining festival assets so that they can continue John’s legacy in supporting young fiddle players.

The highly popular event has launched several fiddle players onto their careers and inspired hundreds of people to take that first fiddle or jigging lesson. Not to mention all the music and the concerts and the square dancing! The fest will certainly be missed. Check out our January issue where we will reflect on the legacy of the festival and talk to those impacted or inspired by John and Vicki Arcand. Job well done John and Vicki and the board!
