Whitecap Dakota First Nation keeps tradition

  • EFN Staff | August 08, 2014

Whitecap Dakota First Nation Chief and Council have been riding horses in the Saskatoon Exhibition Parade for some years. In the last two parades, Mayor Don Atchison rode with them. His worship joined them again this year. Eagle Feather news was lucky enough to get some time before the parade with Whitecap Dakota Chief Darcy Bear, Councillors Frank Royal and Dwayne Eagle, Saskatoon Tribal Council Chief Felix Thomas and Mayor Atchison and wife, Mardele, as they saddled up for the big ride.
