Where River Meets Sky: Works by Aboriginal Artists

View a selection of contemporary works from Mann Art Gallery Permanent Collection, curated by Michel Boutin, a Canadian/Métis artist and arts educator. Included in the exhibition is Governor General's History Award winning painting "Grandmother" by Dene artist Catherine Blackburn.

In addition are works by Saskatchewan Craft Council members, curated by Saskatchewan Craft Council’s Exhibition and Education Coordinator Leslie Potter.

"The art works in this exhibition represent the life force and the spirit of the people, the Place Where River Meets Sky," says Boutin.


There is a public receiption on Saturday, May 24, 7 - 9 pm. It is the closing event of the three-day Aboriginal Artist Symposium.

The exhibition runs until May 31 at the Affinity Gallery in the Saskatchewan Craft Council building, main floor: 813 Broadway Avenue, Saskatoon.

Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday; open until 8 p.m. Thursdays.
