While we have reached the end of November, the time of year we remember and honour our Veterans who have served and sacrificed, we want to remind you to keep them close in your hearts and prayers throughout the year.

We leave you this month with a tribute by the Grade 6 class at Fort Qu'Appelle Elementary School. The display features beaded poppies and coloured feathers honouring First Nation, Métis and LGBTQ2S Veterans and those still serving.

The 2019-2020 grade six class started the feathers and this year’s grade six class finished them.

“It was a labour of love to be able to honour our veterans in this small way,” says Grade 6 Educator, Teresa Thrun.

Thank you to Teresa Thrun, Grade 6 Educator at Fort Qu'Appelle Elementary School, for inspiring our young people and thank you to her Grade 6 students who created this meaningful and beautiful tribute to Veterans and those still serving.

Lest we forget.
