The First Nations and Arts communities are deeply saddened by the death of Lacey Morin-Desjarlais. Here are just a handful of tributes pouring in for the talented artist. She will be greatly missed by so many.

It’s been a tough day here trying to make sense of this huge loss. At Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company we have been looking at photos and video and remembering the gifts and spirit of Lace. And so much love for Michelle Sereda who Curtis planned on working with next season. Dear Lace, My heart is heavy. Words cannot express the loss that we all feel. This morning we were supposed to be meeting up as Storykeepers at the MacKenzie, instead, I am writing this. Thank you so much for taking Trudy and I out for supper last week. The kind words and appreciation you shared were returned. It was an honor to be apart of your first production alongside Michele! You were beautiful and wise and inspired me in ways you will never know. I will honor you as best as I can. I am sharing the picture you asked me to take after we wrapped your shoot.
