Canada had another winning weekend at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games.

On Saturday, Denny Morrison won his second medal of the games, picking up a bronze in mens's 1500M long track speed skating.

Then on Sunday, Jan Hudec won a bronze in men's super G alpine skiing, ending Canada's 20-year alpine medal drought.

What makes his win even more sweet is Hudec has had seven knee surgeries.

Also on Sunday, Dominique Maltais won a silver medal in ladies snowboard cross. She previously won the bronze at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

Monday morning Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir skated a near flawless free skate program in the ice dance competition, and their performance earned them world record scores.

The defending Olympic gold medalists came away with the silver medal.

Finally, early Tuesday morning, Team Canada added to its growing medal count, with another speed skating medal, by capturing the silver in the short track ladies' 3000M relay.

That brings Canada's medal count to 16 (4 gold, 8 silver, and 4 bronze) with more events to come that promise to also deliver, such as women's hockey later this week.
