Canada now has five medals in the opening days of the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

On Saturday, Regina, Saskatchewan's Mark McMorris won Canada's first medal, a bronze in slopestyle competition. His victory was even more sweet, given he competed with a fractured rib.

Later that day, two sisters from Quebec made Canadian history with Justine Dufour-Lapointe winning gold and her sister, Chloé, winning silver in the women's freestyle skiing moguls. It is the first time Canadian siblings have stood first and second on the podium.

On Sunday, Canada's figure skaters won silver in the team event.

And early Monday morning, Charles Hamelin won Canada's second gold medal, winning the 1500m short track speed skating event, bringing Canada's medal total to five.
