Man faces assault charges, alleged incidents date back 50 years

  • EFN Staff | January 30, 2014

A Prince Albert man has been charged with indecent assault for alleged incidents dating back to 1964.

Morris Hryniuk is facing eight counts following a lengthy investigation.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred at the Mossomin First Nation Day School, a school that no longer exists and which RCMP say was band-operated and not a residential school.

Hryniuk has not yet entered a plea and next appears in North Battleford Provincial Court February 13, 2014.
