Large scratch 'n win prize won by Clearwater resident

  • EFN Staff | June 02, 2014

The summer is looking promising for Malwin Lemaigre.

The Clearwater River resident won $25,000 on a scratch 'n win ticket.

He bought a stack of The Western $1 tickets at PBCN P.A. Fuel & Convenience in Prince Albert. He took them back home, scratched them, and realized on his second ticket he had won.

"When I saw all three prize amounts, I thought, 'It's going to be a good summer,'" he said.

Lemaigre's ticket matched three '$25,000' amounts on the bottom part of the ticket. After he grabbed a coffee, he had a retailer check the ticket.

"I saw the amount on the screen, and I thought, 'Right on!'"

Lemaigre might use some of his winnings to take a trip to Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
