Indian residential schools personal credits deadline approaching

Residential School Survivors who were eligible for the Common Experience Payment are also eligible for personal credits of up to $3000.00.

Personal credits can be used for yourself or you can transfer them to your siblings, children or grandchildren. Some examples of what they can be used for include:

• Learn traditional or cultural teachings;
• Learn literacy or trades;
• Purchase books and/or computers for education;
• Attend a program at a university, college, trade or training school.

If you require a new form, please call 1-866-343-1858 for a new one as soon as possible.

They will only accept forms received or post-marked on or before October 31, 2014.
