A founding member of the Indian Posse gang turned himself in today, as he was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant following a sexual assault in Fort Qu'Appelle.
RCMP received a call to investigate a sexual assault that occurred to an adult female at a resident in the town on the morning of April 6.
As a result of the investigation, RCMP have charged 38-year-old Richard Daniel Wolfe with sexual assault and assault with a weapon.
Wolfe has been on statutory release since September 2010 after serving two-thirds of his sentence for an attempted murder conviction from 1996, as well as convictions in robbery and assault causing bodily harm from 1999.
Wolfe, along with his brother Daniel Wolfe, founded the Indian Posse. His brother Daniel was murdered in a prison stabbing in the Prince Albert penitentiary in January 2010.
Wolfe turned himself in at the Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP Detachment and was arrested without incident. He will be remanded and remain in custody until Thursday, where he will be brought before the provincial court in Fort Qu'Appelle.
