Independent Dog Face: the Movie

An independent documentary focusing on a musical family and the music scene in general will be screened in Saskatoon.

On June 17, Independent Dog Face: The Movie will be screened at the Broadway Theatre.

Prior to the screening, there will be an Aboriginal fashion show as well.

Independent Dog Face is a band that has been putting on shows and cabarets since the spring of 2011. Since then, they have garnered a loyal following and have had more than 25 live music events in Saskatoon.

The documentary, directed by Aaron Peters and his fourth project, will feature interviews from the Standing family, as well as many others involved in the music scene from performers to venue owners. The documentary will highlight the local music scene and all that goes into putting on these events to help a music scene – and a community – flourish.
