The George Gordon First Nation has elected its chief and council.

In elections held on Friday, April 4, Shawn Longman was elected as chief.

The following eight councillors were also elected: Byron Bitternose, Jr; Corey R. Blind; Dennis Hunter; John McNab; Terry Lynn McNab; Jason T. Morris; Hugh Pratt; and Ashley Whitehawk.
