Deschambault Lake woman wins big

  • EFN Staff | June 18, 2014

Lorna Eninew was on a roll.

The resident of Deschambault Lake landed on both Boardwalk and Park Place on her Super Monopology ticket to win the game's $100,000 top prize.

Eninew was scratching one of the play areas on her $5 ticket when she realized if she revealed a '2' on her next roll, she'd win $100,000.

"I said to myself, 'Oh, please give me a '2,'" she said with a smile.

She couldn't believe it when she actually uncovered that '2.'

"I thought I had counted wrong."

Eninew went to the store to check the ticket, where it was confirmed a winner.

She plans to fix up her old truck as a graduation gift for one of her children, buy a new vehicle, pay some bills, and share with family.

Eninew's ticket is the third major winning from the Creighton Super Stop. Earlier this year, a Flin Flon man was $25,000, and a Deschambault Lake man won $10,000.
