Crystal Chocan went to the store to check her lottery tickets, but she never expected to see a six-figure amount on the self-checker display.  The Lloydminster, SK resident's LOTTO 6/49 Free Play ticket with the add-on game EXTRA entered for the August 6th draw won $250,005!

"I thought, 'This isn't for real,'" Crystal recalled.

Unsure of the amount being displayed on the ticket checker, she scanned it again.  Thinking she had read $25,000 she quietly walked up to the counter and asked the retailer to check the $1 ticket.  Once it was confirmed that she had won the top prize on EXTRA plus $5 on LOTTO 6/49 for a total prize of $250,005 she couldn't contain her emotions anymore.

"I started shaking," she said. "The tears started coming down."

Crystal plans to use her winnings to buy a new vehicle and put some money aside for her family.

She redeemed the Free Play and added EXTRA for $1 at 18th Street Gas Bar located at 5002 18th Street in Lloydminster, AB.
